Ash Fly Damage on Ash Trees
Ash flies are destructive insects that attack ash trees throughout Arizona. These pests feed on tree foliage and leave behind distorted leaves, sticky residue, and thinning canopies. Left untreated, repeated infestations can cause significant stress and decline in ash trees.
In this video, Warner from Warner's Tree Surgery shows an ash tree suffering from ash fly damage and explains what homeowners should look for when inspecting their trees.
Professional Ash Tree Inspections
Early detection is important when dealing with ash fly infestations. Look for curled leaves, distorted growth, sticky residue, and premature leaf loss. These symptoms often become worse with each generation of insects.
